A-List Roofing & Refurbishments is a local roofing company covering Frimley, Frimley Green and Mytchett — from a single slipped tile to a full roof replacement, with emergency call-outs 24 hours a day.
Frimley is a town of eras. There are Victorian cottages and older properties around the High Street, a great deal of solid inter-war and post-war housing, large 1960s and 1970s estates spreading out towards Frimley Green and Mytchett, and newer developments filling in the gaps. Each era brought its own roofing, and each fails in its own way.
The post-war and 1960s–70s stock is where most of our work comes from, and it is the reason whole Frimley streets seem to get re-roofed at once. Those houses went up together under the same interlocking concrete tiles on the same bitumen felt, and that felt has now spent fifty-odd years going brittle. Once it tears, wind-driven rain gets past the tiles and starts wetting the timbers — and no amount of surface repair will stop it.
Add the damp air that sits in the Blackwater Valley and along the Basingstoke Canal, and you get moss that returns faster than it does a few miles up the hill, gutters that silt rather than simply block, and north-facing slopes that never really dry out. So we look properly, show you what we found, and put forward only the work the roof actually requires.
One-tile repairs through to complete strip-and-re-cover jobs, handled start to finish by the same Frimley crew — nothing subcontracted, nothing handed over halfway.

Hiring a roofer largely comes down to whether you believe them. Here is what actually happens when you call us out in Frimley.
Frimley is full of streets where every house went up in the same few years, under the same tiles, on the same felt. When one roof starts failing the neighbours usually are not far behind — and we have often already done the one next door.
The Blackwater Valley and the canal keep the air here damp, and moss takes hold faster than it does a few miles up the hill. We specify ventilation and drainage that account for it.
Most Frimley roofs are practical family homes, not showpieces. We quote for what the roof needs, in writing, without loading it with specification you will never see the benefit of.
Roofs choose their moment badly — usually a gale, usually after dark. Whatever the hour, ring us and someone will come out to make it safe, get it sheeted and keep the water off your ceilings.
Beyond everyday repairs and replacements, we take on the more specialist jobs that many general builders will not touch — leadwork, chimneys, liquid and fibreglass systems, warm roof construction and conservatory roof conversions among them.
Word travels quickly on a Frimley street. Our reputation here has been built one roof at a time, and the feedback is remarkably consistent: the van appears on the day promised, the problem gets explained without jargon, and the driveway is swept before anyone drives away.
You can read the reviews yourself on Google and Checkatrade — both profiles are linked below, and both belong to A-List Roofing & Refurbishments.
Common questions we are asked by homeowners in Frimley and the surrounding villages.
Cannot see your question? We are always happy to talk it through — there is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your roof.
Windlesham to Frimley is a straightforward run past Camberley, so we are not travelling far. Live leaks and storm damage we try to reach the same day; for anything that is not urgent we will normally have someone out to inspect within the week.
Yes. Alongside Frimley we regularly work in Frimley Green, Mytchett, Deepcut, Camberley, Ash Vale, Blackwater, Farnborough and Yateley, plus the wider Surrey Heath area.
Because they were all built at once. Large parts of Frimley went up in the same post-war and 1960s–70s waves, so the tiles, battens and felt all reach the end of their working life at roughly the same time. It is very common for us to re-roof several houses on one road.
Constantly. The detached and block-built garages on Frimley’s estates almost all have flat roofs, and the original pour-and-roll felt on them is long past its best. We re-cover them in high-performance torch-on felt, EPDM rubber or GRP fibreglass.
The damp air off the Blackwater Valley means moss will always want to grow here, particularly on north-facing slopes. We can clear it and treat the roof, and where moss is holding water against the tiles we will say so — but be wary of anyone promising it will never return.
Not usually, but it is worth knowing about before we start. On semis and terraces the gutter run is often continuous, so we plan the work around the join and will happily talk to your neighbour if the sensible answer is to do both together.
More often than you might expect. The inspection comes first, and if re-bedding a ridge or renewing a flashing will genuinely give you another decade, that is what goes in the quote. A full re-roof only gets recommended when the felt underneath has actually gone.
Yes. Inspections and written quotes are free and come with no obligation, and we will put a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
Frimley sits beside junction 4 of the M3 with Camberley on one side and Farnborough on the other. That puts the whole GU16 area — and a good deal beyond it — within an easy run for us.
Somewhere not shown here? Give us a ring anyway. If you are anywhere near Frimley we will know within a minute whether we can take it on.
